MJG Timber Ltd are a wholesale quality timber trade supplier, located in historic Colchester, Essex. We source all of our quality timber from reputable sawmills and supply bulk timber products to downstream wholesalers and suppliers within England, Scotland, and Wales. Our mission is to offer our valued customers a high standard of service and quality timber products sourced from sustainable forestry resources.
Our Story
With over 40 years of experience in importing and distributing quality timber, the friendly team at MJG Timber Ltd know what it’s like shopping for reliable suppliers. Why? Because we originally started out as two timber agents working directly with sawmills within the UK.
Our time spent working with trade professionals at sawmills helped us to appreciate the needs of suppliers and end customers looking for quality timber that need bespoke quantities in a timely manner.
The end result has made us what we are today: a service-led quality timber importer and agency, that has a customer-centric approach to bringing you as much quality timber as you need, when you need it, all directly sourced from reputable sawmills.
Our organisation is registered with Companies House as a Limited Company (Co Reg No: 9472825) in the UK. We believe that having greater decision-making capabilities allows us to more competitively negotiate with sawmills and suppliers in order to minimise our cost structure, passing the savings onto customers instead.

Our Specialisations
We supply a wide range of quality timber products ideal for multiple applications, but we are industry leaders in the distribution of machine round timber and sleepers, both new and used.
Our machine rounds come in a variety of sizes and are made of treated or untreated redwood or whitewood. They are ideal for agricultural fence stakes and come from a reliable producer in Estonia. We ship via the reliable roll-on-roll off service into Harwich port.
Our sleepers can be purchased new or used, in either hardwood or softwood for a variety of constructional and landscaping uses.
